Technical Support Position

Responsibilities:                   

  • To accurately define technical specification requirements with appropriate departments then seek out potential suppliers to meet those requirements on specification, quality, delivery.
  • Provide daily sales support operationally such as handling and following up on customer enquiries, quotation, order processing, delivery, invoicing and handling custom documents.
  • Prepare tenders and follow-up on Technical Bidding Clarification and technical Commercial Evaluation.
  • Expedite all goods to ensure goods arrive on time. 
  • Highlighting problems if there is a delay.
  • Liaise with suppliers and pushing on delivery information.
  • Dealing with technical queries from customer /suppliers and solving problem.

Experience:

  • Technical background (Marine  or E & I is priority) & Commercial knowledge.
  • Experienced in tender preparation & Project management
  • Experienced working with partner or client in oil and gas.
  • Experienced within an expediting project environment.
  • Proven negotiation skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan and organize workload to meet deadlines.

Skills/training Competences:

  • Good at English: Speaking, Listening, Writing and Reading, especially in ability of technical documentation reading.
  • Computer literate & Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint etc
  • Good Analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Planning and scheduling skills

Requirement 

  • Major in Electronic-Telecommunications Engineering; Electronic- Industrial Automation Engineering; Marine Engineering (University of Polytechnic is preferred)
  • Proactive and honestly
  • Hard working under high pressure 
  • To be able to travel in both of domestic and oversea
